RECORD TIED!

The finale of season 3 has arrived, another 20 weeks completed! With the introduction of challenge weeks, tournaments and social media it was an incredible season. I'm very proud of how we have grown and can't wait to see it keep going! Thank you to everyone who bowls, supports, socialises and spreads the word about the league! 

With bowlers from all over Sussex its truly an honour to run this league for you all!

What did the finale week have in store for us?! Well it tied our record with 21 bowlers (thankfully we had more lanes this week so it was much less hectic). More new and returning faces came to compete and see who would take down the final week of the season!

The night saw Lewis Spender jump out to a huge lead in game 1 rolling the front 8 for a 264 game to start the night! The rest of the field had some work to do to catch up to him!

Game 2 saw Lewis roll a solid 214 turning 482 on handicap for the first 2 games! 

However, some bowlers made their move to compete with Lewis!

Neil Highgate shot a 228 handicap game after a 159 start to climb his way up into contention.

Game 3 the transition hit Lewis' lanes making them very difficult and causing a dip to 156. He still finished with a solid 640 handicap series and it was going to take a strong finish from other bowlers to catch him!

Neil Highgate was up to the task rolling his best game of the night at 223 scratch to catch Lewis with a 640 handicap series also!

We have our first official tie for 1st place! 

Over 60 weeks we have never had a tie, until tonight!

Congratulation to both bowlers, Lewis Spender & Neil Highgate! 

Splitting the prize fund on the night and taking home a regular season victory each!

That marks the end of an incredible season!
